Frequently Asked Questions

"Will I have help from the college? "

At Clayton College each student is assigned a faculty advisor whose role is to facilitate the student's learning process. This is accomplished by: providing support and assistance in learning the materials that they receive; helping ensure timely completion of the course or program; responding quickly to student inquiries; and being available by phone, fax or e-mail five days a week during normal business hours.

In distance education the objective is to learn from materials provided, looking to the advisor as a coach, not an information delivery system. No tutor or advisor can assure that any student will learn the material; only the student can make this happen.

"How can I get to know other students? "

As in any educational endeavor, networking with others is a critical part of the learning process. The Holistic Connection is the college's social hub. Here is where the bulletin boards are located and where weekly chats with faculty are conducted. Students and graduates also use the chat rooms for their own meetings, as the chat rooms are available 24/7. Clayton College often attends health shows and conferences, providing students and others with opportunities for personal interaction with us. These events are particularly exciting as we get to visit with our students and graduates. Visit the Reference Map and check your state or country. Many CCNH students and graduates volunteer to have their e-mail addresses posted as e-mail contacts and look forward to receiving mail from prospective students, as well as enrolled and graduated students.

"How do I get started?"

A student handbook offers the student step by step instructions and information about the student experience at Clayton College. Students obtain their books and coursework from our education partner, ED MAP, whose customer service commitment is excellent.

"Who are the faculty at Clayton College?"

Among the faculty at Clayton College you will find a master herbalist, massage therapists, professional counselor, doctors of naturopathy, chiropractor, energy workers, and a physician, to name a few. Our commitment to Natural Health runs deep through the heart and soul of our organization and we share our students' common desire to live healthier lives. We celebrate your successes and our role as facilitators of your accomplishments. Our alumni surveys confirm that Clayton College truly is helping to make the world a healthier place.

"When will I graduate?"

Completion of a CCNH program is dependent on the unique learning strategy and schedule for each student. There is a five year maximum time limit for completion of each degree program and two year maximum time limit for certificate programs. Graduation requires completion of your program's academic requirements and fulfillment of all financial obligations. Many of our graduates have personal graduation ceremonies, complete with cap and gown. Some order class rings.
